11/12 NICU Day 81
Excited to report Miss Olivia’s head ultrasound (and CT) came back completely normal. She is continuing to work on oral feedings while also remembering to breathe. Olivia is still on the 0.1L of oxygen. We (Kevin and I) are hoping she can be weaned from the oxygen soon. So far she hasn’t had any events/episodes so if not this weekend hopefully Monday.
Olivia got in some good snuggles with dad after a long week.…notice her rolls coming in! 🥰
Otherwise we are just taking it easy. I’m beyond thankful for how seemingly easy the last week has been.
Oh and this is just picture evidence of how really difficult it is to dress a baby-for those that haven’t experienced it or have forgotten their experience (it’s blurry because that’s how fast Kevin’s hands had to move!):
I’ve been singing to and listening to this song for several weeks now. And through every high and every low the truth in the words have remained the same for me. God is good. The song is “Goodness of God” and I believe it’s by Jenn Johnson. Here’s just a section that has really been replaying in my mind the last couple days,
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God
